Drug Electrophoresis Poration (DEP) applies a controlled electrical field that briefly increases the permeability of cell membranes, allowing larger molecules to pass through the surface layer rather than remaining on it.

Which preparation is infused depends on what is being treated — hydration and barrier support are the usual aims. The doctor's assessment sets what is used, and we will tell you what it is before it goes on your skin.

Because nothing punctures the skin, there is no wound, no bleeding and no recovery period.

It can also run as an added step, not only as a session of its own. Where you are already having a facial, a peel or a light-based treatment, the infusion can follow it within the same appointment.

• Electroporation is an established laboratory method for moving large molecules across cell membranes; aesthetic devices apply the same principle at low intensity across the skin surface.

• Delivery without a needle means less of the active reaches the deeper dermis than an injected skin booster. It is gentler, and correspondingly less intensive.
• If you want the effect of injected skin boosters, this is not an equivalent substitute — we will say so rather than sell you the easier option.
• Booked as an added step it is a short stage at the end of another treatment, not a shortened version of the full session. We will tell you which one your plan involves.
• The sensation is a mild tingling. Most people find it comfortable.

No. Both deliver hydrating actives, but an injected skin booster places them directly into the dermis, while this route moves them through the surface layer. The injected route generally has a stronger effect; this route has no needle and no downtime.

Which is appropriate depends on what you are trying to achieve and what you are willing to accept in terms of recovery.

Yes. It is commonly added at the end of a facial, a peel or a light-based treatment, within the same appointment, rather than booked as a separate visit.

It is not added by default. We suggest it when the skin is dry or the barrier needs support after another step, and it is entirely reasonable to decline.

Your consultation will determine this. Skin type, medical history, medications and the changes you would like to see all affect which treatment is appropriate, and whether any treatment is suitable at all.

Your first visit includes a consultation where the doctor examines your skin and determines if this treatment is suitable for you before proceeding with any procedures. You don’t need to book the consultation separately.

If you prefer to come in solely for an assessment, our consultation charge is $80. However, if you decide to proceed with treatment on the same day, this fee will be waived.

The doctor will examine your skin, take your medical history and give you a detailed account of your skin condition, which may differ from your initial expectations.

You leave with a written plan and the associated costs. If a treatment isn’t suitable for you, you’ll be informed of that instead.

There’s no same-day price or deadline attached to the plan. Prices don’t change based on when you decide.

The plan is yours to keep. If you’d like more time to consider or make comparisons, that’s perfectly fine. We respect every customer’s decisions.
