Body Contouring (Onda)

Onda uses microwaves at a frequency that is preferentially absorbed by fat cells. The energy disrupts the membrane of the targeted adipocytes while the overlying skin is comparatively spared.

A separate handpiece is used at settings intended for the dermis, addressing laxity in the treated area rather than fat volume.

Disrupted fat is cleared by the body's normal metabolic processes over the weeks following treatment, which is why the change is gradual and why this is planned as a course rather than a single visit.

• This is a contouring treatment for localised areas. It is not a weight-loss treatment and it will not substitute for changes in diet and activity — we will be direct about that at consultation.
• Results are gradual and build across a course rather than appearing after one session.
• Because the disrupted fat is cleared by your own metabolism, we cannot tell you when, or whether, you will notice a change.
• Not suitable during pregnancy, or over areas with certain implants — we screen for this.

No. This treats the shape of specific areas, not body weight. If weight is your goal, this is the wrong starting point and we would rather say so than take a booking.

Each area is planned on its own, and the interval between sessions is set at assessment, so that your body has time to clear what has already been treated before the next session.

Which areas are worth treating at all, and how many sessions yours calls for, is decided at that assessment rather than assumed in advance.

Your consultation will determine this. Skin type, medical history, medications and the changes you would like to see all affect which treatment is appropriate, and whether any treatment is suitable at all.

If a treatment isn't suitable for you, you'll be informed.

Your first visit includes a consultation where the doctor examines your skin and determines if this treatment is suitable for you before proceeding with any procedures. You don’t need to book the consultation separately.

If you prefer to come in solely for an assessment, our consultation charge is $80. However, if you decide to proceed with treatment on the same day, this fee will be waived.

The doctor will examine your skin, take your medical history and give you a detailed account of your skin condition, which may differ from your initial expectations.

You leave with a written plan and the associated costs. If a treatment isn’t suitable for you, you’ll be informed of that instead.

There’s no same-day price or deadline attached to the plan. Prices don’t change based on when you decide.

The plan is yours to keep. If you’d like more time to consider or make comparisons, that’s perfectly fine. We respect every customer’s decisions.
