What Changes the Cost of Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Singapore
Anti-wrinkle injections are the treatment where price comparison goes wrong most often, because clinics quote them in two incompatible ways: per unit, or per area. Those numbers cannot be laid side by side.
Note that this is a prescription medicine. A doctor has to assess you in person before it can be used, and no clinic can responsibly discuss product or dose before that.
Per unit versus per area
A per-unit quote is transparent about what you receive but says nothing about how many units you will need. A per-area quote is easy to compare but hides the dose — and an area treated with a low dose will not hold, so you may be back sooner than you expected.
The useful question is: how many units, for which area, and how long is that expected to last?
Why the dose is not the same for everyone
Muscle strength varies a great deal between people. A strong frown muscle needs more than a weak one to achieve the same softening. Men typically need more than women for the same area. Someone who has had regular treatment over years often needs less than they did at the start.
This is why a fixed price per area can quietly mean a fixed dose per area — which suits some faces and under-treats others.
Jaw and shoulder treatments are different
Treating a heavy masseter along the jaw, or a prominent trapezius at the shoulder, works by reducing muscle bulk rather than by relaxing an expression. Those areas need substantially more product, take months rather than days to show, and are priced accordingly. Comparing them to a forehead quote is not meaningful.
What a very low quote can mean
Sometimes a genuinely competitive price. Sometimes a smaller dose than the area needs, or dilution beyond what is typical. Neither is visible on a price list. Asking for units is the only way to know.
How long it lasts, and why that changes the real cost
Effect typically begins within days and settles over about two weeks. How long it holds depends on the area, the dose and your own metabolism — commonly in the range of four to six months for expression lines, longer for jaw and shoulder treatments where the mechanism is muscle bulk reduction.
That means the number worth budgeting is annual, not per visit. A slightly higher price that holds for five months can cost less per year than a lower one that fades in three.
Questions worth asking
- How many units, for which specific areas?
- Is a review appointment included if it needs adjusting?
- How long would you expect this to last for me?
- Who performs the injection?
Safety screening is not optional
It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain neuromuscular conditions, or alongside some medications. A consultation that does not take a proper history is skipping a step that exists for a reason.
The part that is not about price at all
Results depend heavily on where the product is placed. Brow position, asymmetry and how your individual muscles pull all determine whether the outcome looks natural or odd. That is technique, and it is the variable that most affects whether you are happy — more than the number on the invoice.
Our own default is to start conservatively and review. An under-treated result can be topped up in two weeks; an over-treated one has to be waited out for months.
Why we don't publish a number here
Because a number on a web page would be a guess. The right dose, the right settings and the number of sessions all come out of looking at your skin — and quoting before that is how people end up paying for treatment they did not need.
You get the full cost at your consultation, before anything is agreed, and we would rather tell you a treatment is not worth it for you than sell it.
